MARKET UPDATE 10.04.26

Good afternoon,

October is here and with it comes, FALL GOURDS, PUMPKINS, MINI PUMPKINS, PIE PUMPKINS, and seasonal hard squashes. We will have availability on all your seasonal needs through the fall!

SQUASH markets remain tight as Michigan supplies continue to taper off. Georgia and the Carolinas are producing at a steady rate, gaining momentum. Florida squash should be ready to go near the end of October, leading to more competitive pricing the further south we go!

And that concludes the California PEACHE crop. California stonefruit has come to a close aside from some late variety PLUMS. CHILEAN fruit is around the corner, with CHERRIES expected to be back in for business around the first of November.

BROCCOLI, LETTUCE, and CAULIFLOWER continue to fall short of demand. This trend is expected to continue through the month of October with some brief relief coming from Santa Maria, Oxnard, and Huron supplies.

The Canadian CARROT crop is in good supply. Pricing has leveled off through this month and looks to remain steady into the fall.

Domestic fruit like GRAPES and MELONS remain available but we are at the beginning the end of the season. Markets will start to climb as crops head south for the fall and winter, eventually turning to imports in November and December.

More as it happens,
