MARKET UPDATE 11.26.25

Good afternoon,

May your Thanksgiving be stuffed with an abundance of sales and joy. Happy Thanksgiving from us at GPS. We appreciate your trust and support!

STRAWBERRIES continue to make waves as there is not an extra box of fruit in the whole city of Miami, and probably everywhere else too. The washout in California has put a hold on harvesting out of most of the state for another week. Any fruit out of the area would have seen heavy water damage anyways. FLORIDA fruit is still very light in supply and we are a few weeks away from any volume - IF all goes according to plan. To add to the uncertainty, storms followed by cold weather are set to hit the south east this weekend.

Salinas CELERY production has concluded for the season. Florida and Yuma product will not be ready for harvest until sometime around the new year, leaving just OXNARD supplies to cover demand for the time being. Markets shot up last week and will hold on for a little while longer as we await new supplies.

Peruvian GRAPES are starting to arrive! Shippers know what they have with the new crop fruit and are making sure to get their money's worth. Some of the higher end domestic shippers say they will have fruit that was harvested pre-rain through December.

OFFSHORE MELONS have arrived here in South Florida. Quality and supplies are in a good spot allowing markets to soften this week. We should have a clear road ahead on MELONS for the next few weeks.

More as it happens,

Parker Tannehill
