Doug is the president and owner of GPS. He started in this industry right out of college and today he has nearly 40 years of experience. Doug is a hands on leader and knows what it takes to develop and operate and export business, where everyone is treated like family!
Parker joined GPS right after graduating from Florida State University in 2014. He holds a degree in economics and is a critical component to GPS. Parker manages the east and west coast vegetable commodities, apples, pears, strawberries, west coast FTL and LTL transportation, and assists anywhere he gets a chance!
Brian has been an integral part of GPS since he joined in August of 2013. Brian is a jack of all traits, who specializes in managing our citrus, tomato, Mexican veg, as well as our egg and nut programs. Brian is a true entrepreneur with a food service background who is always hustling up the best deals for our customers.
Blanca joined GPS shortly after we opened. Her experience was in administration but she soon took over the reins on managing several of our commodities. Blanca is a great representative of GPS and today is an employee who wears many hats. She manages our organic, salad, and food safety programs, as well as handles our phytosanitary requirements.
David is another member of the team who has a lifetime of experience in the produce industry. David has bought and sold every commodity out there, and provides a great deal of product knowledge to the team. Dave focuses on managing our grape, melon, kiwi, stone fruit and cherry commodities. He also works heavily on ongoing orders with the warehouse team and is part of our inventory control team.
Karl joined GPS in early 2012, just a few months after we opened. He has an extensive background in food service, where he managed to oversee the opening of over 700 restaurants! He also has experience on the wholesale side of the produce industry, previously working for a wholesale distributor here in Miami. Karl manages mushrooms, tropicals, herbs, and Latin vegetables common around South Florida. He is also part of our inventory control team.
Account management TEAM
Eslinda has been with GPS since its inception! With a background in administration, banking, and customer service, Eslinda has been a perfect fit from the very beginning. She manages the booking and spotting of containers, as well as coordinating air shipments and is a cornerstone of our customer service team.
Sarahis joined GPS with years of experience in the produce industry. She is a produce lifer, who truly gets how the produce business operates. Sarahis has worked in just about every role in the industry, and has a great knowledge of perishable commodities. She handles the booking and spotting of containers, and is an essential part of our customer service team!
Adriana was another talent that seemed to fit naturally with the team since the day she joined! Adriana is a true entrepreneurial spirit who has experience in administration, ar/ap, as well as running her own business in the floral industry. She handles booking and spotting containers for our customers as well as being a focal point for customer service.
Kevin has been with GPS since its inception. With a background in accounting and a freelancer for small businesses, Kevin was just the guy we needed to organize and manage the bills and collections from our start up. Although he started with us only working a couple days a week helping us as needed, we are very happy to have been able to land Kevin as a full time member of our team managing the finances.
Luz joined our team in July of 2014. With a background in administration and logistics, Luz was selected by our team from a large pool of applicants. Luz has demonstrated the qualities that we were looking for, of dedication, a positive attitude and a commitment to getting things done the right way.
Silvio is our warehouse manager and is a focal point of the company. Silvio has been with GPS since the beginning and has moved his way up the ranks. His consistent work ethic, warehousing and product knowledge, and sensibility make him an ideal representative for our company!
Gaby is one of our more recent hires but she has been a strong addition to the team! With experience in sales and warehouse operations, Gaby is a great fit for us and helps out in many areas. Gaby is our dispatch controller, checks drivers and containers in/out, and also works with our cruise ship team.
Doris joined GPS back in August of 2016. She has a background in accounting and currently works with our receiving team, making her an integral part of GPS. Doris is a great addition to the team and helps out wherever she can! Along with receiving, she helps facilitate driver and container schedules and assists with our accounting team.
